Barbara Oliver Hagerman
Barbara Anne Hagerman, OPEI (née Oliver; February 9, 1943 – October 6, 2016) was a Canadian music teacher and performer and was the 27th Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island. She was the second woman in the province's history to have held this position. Life Born in Hartland, New Brunswick in 1943, siblings Don Oliver and Sue Mazerolle. She earned a degree from Mount Allison University specializing in voice and organ, and began her career in music in Charlottetown and Summerside, Charlottetown being her current place of residence. She had a very distinguished performance career on the island as a vocal soloist with the P.E.I. Symphony Orchestra. For seventeen years she was the conductor of the Summerside Community Choir which performed throughout the Maritimes and even at Carnegie Hall under her leadership. Hagerman succeeded Karen Elliot in 1981 and recorded an overall record of 40–36 in three seasons as head coach of the Lady Tigers, including the Louisiana AIAW Championship in 1981. Christopher Alexander Hagerman, (28 March 1792 – 14 May 1847) was a Canadian militia officer, lawyer, administrator, politician and judge. Early life and family Known during his adult life as 'Handsome Kit', Hagerman was born at the Bay of Quinte, Adolphustown, Ontario, just west of Kingston, Ontario. He was a son of United Empire Loyalist Major Nicholas Hagerman (1761–1819) J.P., and his wife Anne (1758–1847), daughter of John and Mary (Campbell) Fisher, formerly of Killin. Kit's grandfather, Christopher Hagerman (b.1722), was a Dutch officer in the service of the Prussian Army who had fought for George II of Great Britain at the Battle of Culloden, 1746. Following the Battle of Quebec (1759), he was granted 2,000 acres in Albany, New York. Daniel Hagerman
Daniel Hagerman (1794 – June 30, 1821) was a lawyer and political figure in Upper Canada. He was born in Adolphustown Township in 1794, the son of Nicholas Hagerman, a United Empire Loyalist. He studied law with his father and practiced law in Kingston and later Bath. He served as quartermaster in the local militia during the War of 1812. He was named registrar in the Surrogate Court of the Midland District in 1814. Hagerman was one of the members of the establishment who argued with Robert Gourlay when Gourlay held meetings in Kingston. In 1820, he was elected to represent Lennox & Addington in the Legislative Assembly of Upper Canada. He died at Bath in 1821. Herbert James Hagerman (December 15, 1871 – January 28, 1935) was an American attorney, was the 17th Governor of the New Mexico Territory from 1906 to 1907. Early life and education Hagerman was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to industrialist J. J. Hagerman. He worked at several low-level jobs in his father's businesses during his teen and college years, including his father's ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. He received his law degree from Cornell Law School in 1894, and became a member of the Kappa Alpha Society. After passing the bar, he practiced law in Colorado, where he had moved in order to be closer to his father's mining interests. Hagerman never married and had no children. Jamison Patten Hagerman (born May 7, 1981 in North Andover, Massachusetts and raised in Wenham, Massachusetts) is an American ice hockey player. She won a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
