Hagemann Ranch Historic District
Hagemann Ranch Historic District is a 19th-century historic district containing a farmhouse and ranch located in Livermore, California. Within the district, the agricultural past in Livermore Valley can be remembered. It is owned and managed by the Livermore Heritage Guild, and is open to the public once a month. The Hagemann Ranch Historic District has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since January 10, 2008; With and a California Historical Landmark since January 10, 2008. History The Hagemann Ranch Historic District consists of a late 19th-century farmhouse, built in 1870, and eleven related outbuildings that are contributing properties. It was one of the first ranches established after the 1869 break up of the land grant, Rancho Valle de San José. Livermore, California
Livermore (formerly Livermorès, Livermore Ranch, and Nottingham) is a city in Alameda County, California. With a 2020 population of 87,955, Livermore is the most populous city in the Tri-Valley. It is located on the eastern edge of California's San Francisco Bay Area. The current mayor is Bob Woerner. Livermore was platted and registered on November 4, 1869, as a railroad town by and named for Robert Livermore, his friend and a local rancher who settled in the area in the 1840s. The Livermore Valley, historically known as the Valle de San José (Valley of San José), is a valley in Alameda County, California, located in the East Bay region. The city of Livermore is located in the valley. Geography The valley is bounded by the Diablo Range on the north, east, and south; and is linked to the west with the Amador Valley. Watercourses draining the Livermore Valley include Arroyo Mocho, Arroyo Valle, Arroyo Seco, and Arroyo Las Positas. Wine Country The southern side of Livermore is wine country. Rancho Valle De San José
Rancho Valle de San José (also called "Valle de San José y Corralitos") was a Mexican land grant in present-day Alameda County, California. It was made up of the former pasture land belonging to Mission San José. It was given in 1839 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Antonio Maria Pico, Agustín Bernal (1797–1872), Juan Pablo Bernal (1810–1878), and Antonio Suñol (in conjunction with his wife María Dolores Bernal de Suñol).
