Hadrien De Montferrand
Hadrien de Montferrand (; born 1976) is a French dealer in Chinese contemporary art. He has worked as marketing director for Artcurial, the largest French auction house, and for the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing. He has headed the development of the gallery in Beijing since 2009. Biography After graduating in art history at La Sorbonne in parallel of his business studies, he worked for two years in China for Unilever. In 2002, he came back in France where he was appointed head of the marketing department of the largest French auction house, Artcurial. After five years in Paris, he was sent to China to create an auction house in Shanghai, a project that has been aborted. In 2008, he became development manager of the Ullens Center of Contemporary Art, founded in 2007 by Guy Ullens and his wife. Chinese art is visual art that originated in or is practiced in China, Greater China or by Chinese artists. Liu Xiaodong (; born 1963 in Liaoning, China) is a contemporary Chinese artist. Education Liu was born in 1963 in the small industrial village of Jincheng, a pulp and paper-producing center on the outskirts of Jinzhou in Liaoning province. Wang Du (, born 1956) is a contemporary Chinese artist who focuses on three-dimensional painted objects. Traditionally trained in Guangzhou, he now lives and has his studio in Paris. Martial Raysse
Martial Raysse (born 12 February 1936 in Golfe-Juan) is a French artist and actor. He lives in Issigeac, France. He holds the record for the most expensive work sold by a living French artist. Biography Raysse was born in a ceramicist family in Vallauris and began to paint and write poetry at age 12. After studying and practising athleticism at a high level, he began to accumulate rubbish odds and ends that he preserved under plexiglas. In 1958, he exhibited some of his paintings with Jean Cocteau at Galerie Longchamp. Fascinated by the beauty of plastic, he plundered low-costs shops with plastic items and developed what became his "vision hygiene" concept; a vision that showcases consumer society. Barthélémy Toguo is a Cameroonian painter, visual and performing artist born in 1967. He currently splits his time living and working in both Paris, France and Bandjoun, Cameroon. He works in a variety of media aside from visual and performing arts including photographs, prints, sculptures, videos, and installations.
