HXD3B Locomotive Driving Simulator
HXD3B (Chinese: 和谐电3B型电力机车) is a class of electric locomotives for heavy freight service built by Bombardier Transportation and CNR Dalian Locomotives. History The Ministry of Railways of the People's Republic of China (MOR) ordered 500 locomotives in February 2007 for €1.1 billion (US$1.4 billion) from Dalian Locomotives and Bombardier Transportation, with Bombardier's share amounting to €370 million (US$480 million). The first unit, HXD3B0001 was delivered on 29 December 2008 in Dalian, the entire order of 500 machines will be delivered by the end of 2011. Technical details The HXD3B is based on the Bombardier-produced MTAB Iore twin-section locomotives, but is a single-section locomotive with cabs at both ends. LKAB Malmtrafik, earlier Malmtrafik i Kiruna AB (''MTAB''), is a Swedish railway company which operates the iron ore freight trains on the Iron Ore Line and the Ofoten Line. MTAB is a wholly owned subsidiary of the mining company Luossavaara–Kiirunavaara (LKAB). In Norway, operations are handled by the subsidiary Malmtrafikk AS (MTAS). Malmtrafik hauls ore from LKAB's mines in Kiruna, Malmberget and Svappavaara to the ports of Luleå and Narvik, the latter located in Norway. The company owns 28 Iore locomotives and 750 hopper cars. Each train is 68 cars long and weighs , allowing the company to transport 33 million tonnes per year. Co-Co is the wheel arrangement for diesel or electric locomotives with two six-wheeled bogies with all axles powered, with a separate traction motor per axle. The equivalent UIC classification (Europe) for this arrangement is Co′Co′, or C-C for AAR (North America). Use Co-Cos are most suited to freight work as the extra wheels give them good traction. Beijing railway station (), or simply Beijing station (), is a passenger railway station in Dongcheng District, Beijing. The station is located just southeast of the city centre inside the Second Ring Road with Beijing Station Street to the north and the remnants of the city wall between Chongwenmen and Dongbianmen to the south. The Beijing railway station opened in 1959 and was the largest train station in China at the time. Beijing Fengtai railway station () is a railway station located in the Fengtai District of Beijing. It was renamed from Fengtai railway station to Beijing Fengtai railway station in 2021. The new railway station opened on 20 June 2022. The new railway station is served by both high-speed and conventional-speed railways, including Beijing–Guangzhou high-speed railway, Beijing–Guangzhou railway. The station is the largest is Asia, with departure lounges, restaurants and other amenities spread across 400,000 square meters. The integrated gate-commutated thyristor (IGCT) is a power semiconductor electronic device, used for switching electric current in industrial equipment. It is related to the gate turn-off (GTO) thyristor. It was jointly developed by Mitsubishi and ABB. Like the GTO thyristor, the IGCT is a fully controllable power switch, meaning that it can be turned both on and off by its control terminal (the gate).
