HOMER - The European Medal of Poetry and Art is a medal awarded to outstanding creators in the world of literature. The medal was established in Brussels, Belgium, in 2016. The jury awards artists whose work, with simplicity and beauty, conveys universal messages to the world. Isaac Goldemberg
Isaac Goldemberg (born 1945) is a Peruvian-American author, founder of the Latin American Writers Institute, ''Brújula/Compass'', and "Hostos Review," and a Distinguished Professor of Humanities at Hostos Community College. Goldemberg was born in Peru, and immigrated to New York City, where he currently lives, in 1964. He is a fellow member of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language. Jidi Majia
Jidi Majia (simplified Chinese: 吉狄马加, traditional Chinese: 吉狄馬加, pinyin: Jídí mǎjiā) is Chinese poet and a lieutenant governor of Qinghai from 2006 to 2010. He was born in 1961 and belongs to an ethnic minority of China, the Yi. He has published numerous poetic anthologies since the 1980s and has won national literature awards, is also considered one of the greatest poets of minorities in China. Sona Van
Sona Ter-Hovhannisyan (born 1952), best known by the pen name Sona Van, is an Armenian American poet. She is recognized for her work addressing the Armenian genocide. Biography Sona Van was born Sona Ter-Hovhannisyan in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1952. Her grandparents and parents had at one point been forced to leave Armenia due to the Armenian Genocide. Van formally trained as a doctor at Yerevan State Medical University, and she also holds a master's degree in psychology. In 1978, she moved to the United States, settling in California. Adnan ( ar, عدنان, 'adnān) is the traditional ancestor of the Adnanite Arabs of Northern, Western, Eastern and Central Arabia, as opposed to the Qahtanite Arabs of Southern Arabia who descend from Qahtan.
