Hrvatski nogometni klub Zadar ( en, Croatian Football Club Zadar), commonly referred to as HNK Zadar or simply Zadar, is a Croatian professional football club based in the city of Zadar. It currently plays in the Third Football League. History HNK Zadar was founded in 2019 as the informal successor of NK Zadar. The club's first president was former NK Zadar chairman Damir Knežević, while Marko Pinčić was named as head coach. Pinčić surprisingly resigned from the role, and Josip Butić became the new head coach, as well as Zvonimir Jurić was appointed his assistant. As of January 8, 2021, the club announced that Želimir Terkeš would become the new head coach, and Dragan Blatnjak Dragan Blatnjak (born 1 August 1981) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football manager and former player who last managed Zagora Unešić. Stadion Stanovi (English: ''Stanovi Stadium'') is a football stadium in the Zadar, Croatia. It serves as the home ground for football club HNK Zadar. The stadium has a capacity of 3,858. In the current form, the stadium was completed for the 1979 Mediterranean Games held in Split. Želimir Terkeš
Želimir Terkeš (born 8 January 1981) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian retired football striker who last played for Zadar. He previously played for NK Zadar, NK Zagreb, HNK Čapljina, HŠK Zrinjski Mostar, NK Inter Zaprešić, Chongqing Lifan and Perak FA. Club career Terkeš started his career in the youth ranks of his hometown club HNK Čapljina before moving the youth ranks of the Croatian club NK Zagreb. Unable to win a place in the first team, he returned to his home country, and after playing a year and a half for Zrinjski Mostar and featuring in the Bosnia and Herzegovina U-21 team, he secured a transfer back to Prva HNL, signing for NK Inter Zaprešić. Josip Butić (born 12 December 1974) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player. He was the manager of Croatian club HNK Zadar. Zvonimir Jurić (born 4 June 1971) is a Croatian film director and screenwriter. In 2009, he co-directed and co-wrote the 2009 psychological war drama titled '' The Blacks''.
