HMS ''Panther'' was a 14-gun sloop of war of the Royal Navy, launched in 1778 in India. Francis Reynolds-Moreton (Royal Navy Officer)
Francis Reynolds-Moreton, 3rd Baron Ducie (28 March 1739 – 20 August 1808) was a British naval officer who commanded a number of ships before, during and after the American Revolutionary War. He is largely noted for his role as a naval officer during the Revolutionary War at the Battle of Red Bank in 1777 during the Philadelphia campaign on the Delaware River, involving the dual siege of Fort Mifflin and Fort Mercer.
