HMAS ''Childers'' (ACPB 93) is an ''Armidale''-class patrol boat of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Named for the towns of Childers, Queensland and Childers, Victoria, ''Childers'' is the only ship in the RAN to be named after two towns. Childers is a rural town and locality in the Bundaberg Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Childers had a population of 1,584 people. Geography Childers is in the Wide Bay-Burnett region of Queensland, Australia, situated on the Bruce Highway and lies north of the state capital Brisbane and south-west of Bundaberg. The Isis Highway runs south from the Bruce Highway in Childers. The township is set on a ridge overlooking fields of rich volcanic soil.
