HD 142
HD 142 is a wide binary star system in the southern constellation of Phoenix. The main component has a yellow-white hue and is dimly visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 5.7. The system is located at a distance of 85.5  light years from the Sun based on parallax measurements, and is drifting further away with a radial velocity of +6 km/s. The primary component is an F-type main-sequence star with a stellar classification of F7V, which indicates it is undergoing core hydrogen fusion. It is an estimated 2.5 billion years old and is spinning with a projected rotational velocity of 10 km/s. The star has 1.25 times the mass of the Sun and 1.4 times the Sun's radius. Phoenix (constellation)
Phoenix is a minor constellation in the southern sky. Named after the mythical phoenix, it was first depicted on a celestial atlas by Johann Bayer in his 1603 ''Uranometria''. The French explorer and astronomer Nicolas Louis de Lacaille charted the brighter stars and gave their Bayer designations in 1756. The constellation stretches from roughly −39° to −57° declination, and from 23.5h to 2.5h of right ascension. The constellations Phoenix, Grus, Pavo and Tucana, are known as the Southern Birds. F-type Main-sequence Stars
An F-type main-sequence star (F V) is a main-sequence, hydrogen-fusing star of spectral type F and luminosity class V. These stars have from 1.0 to 1.4 times the mass of the Sun and surface temperatures between 6,000 and 7,600  K.Tables VII and VIII. An exoplanet or extrasolar planet is a planet outside the Solar System. The first possible evidence of an exoplanet was noted in 1917 but was not recognized as such.
