HC Metulla is an ice hockey team in Metulla, Israel. They play in the Israeli League, the top level of ice hockey in Israel. History The club was founded in 1996, and won the Israeli League in 1999 and 2011. Also in 1999, Metulla participated in Group D of the 1999–2000 IIHF Continental Cup. They finished in 4th place with a 1 : 10 loss to Dunaferr SE, 1 : 16 loss to HK Acroni Jesenice, and a 0 : 13 loss to HK Sportina Bled. Hokejski klub Acroni Jesenice ( en, Acroni Jesenice Hockey Club), commonly referred to as HK Acroni Jesenice or simply Jesenice, was a Slovenian ice hockey team from Jesenice that last played in the Austrian Erste Bank Hockey League and the Slovenian Ice Hockey League. They played their home games at the Podmežakla Hall. Throughout its history, the club was regarded as one of the most successful clubs in Slovenian and Yugoslav ice hockey. In September 2012, the club filed for bankruptcy and was dissolved. Eliezer "Elie" Alexeevich Sherbatov ( he, אליעזר שרבטוב; born 9 October 1991) is an Israeli-Canadian ice hockey player who plays for the Jonquière Marquis of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey, after having played for HC Mariupol of the Ukrainian Hockey League until the Russian invasion in February of 2022.
