H. R. Wimalasiri
Handunnetti Rannulu Wimalasiri (known as H. R. Wimalasiri) is a former member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. In 1994 he was elected for the seat of Devinuwara of Matara, Southern Province, Sri Lanka under United National Party. Currently, he is the Devinuwara United National Party (UNP) Chief Organiser. Wimalasiri was educated at Nalanda College Colombo and was a member of the Nalanda College First XI cricket team playing for the 42nd Battle of the Maroons in 1971. The Southern Province ( si, දකුණු පළාත ''Dakuṇu Paḷāta'', ta, தென் மாகாணம் ''Theṉ Mākāṇam'') of Sri Lanka is one of the nine provinces of Sri Lanka, the first level administrative division of the country. Jayantha Seneviratne
Jayantha Seneviratne (born 6 June 1952) is a former cricketer who played first-class cricket for Sri Lanka cricket team from 1973 to 1979, playing in five unofficial Test matches against India, Pakistan and the West Indies. Cricket career He was educated at Nalanda College, Colombo, where he played cricket for the first XI from 1968 to 1970. After leaving school, he played for Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club in Colombo. He represented the Sri Lanka Board President's XI in 1973, and the Sri Lanka national team in 1974 and 1975. He made his highest first-class score of 98 not out, the highest score of the match, when Sri Lanka lost by 17 runs to Pakistan in Karachi in 1973-74. Sunil Asoka Jayasinghe (15 July 1955 – 20 April 1995) was a Sri Lankan ODI cricketer who played two ODIs in the 1979 World Cup competition (the subsequent British Isles tour incorporated his only first-class appearances). Bandula Warnapura
Bandula Warnapura ( si, බන්දුල වර්ණපුර; 1 March 1953 – 18 October 2021) was a Sri Lankan cricketer and former captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team. He played four Test matches and twelve One Day Internationals (ODI) during his international cricketing career from 1975 to 1982. He was a right-handed opening batsman and a right-handed medium pace bowler. Warnapura captained Sri Lanka's first Test match, and also faced the first delivery and scored the first run for his team. He also had the rare distinction and reputation of opening the bowling and opening the batting in the second innings for Sri Lanka in first ever test match of Sri Lanka.
