The H.I.V.E., which stands for the Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination, is a fictional terrorist organization appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The H.I.V.E. organization appeared on the fourth season of The CW show ''Arrow'' with Damien Darhk as their leader. Publication history The H.I.V.E. first appeared in '' The New Teen Titans'' #2 and were created by Marv Wolfman and George PĂ©rez. Fictional team history 1st incarnation The H.I.V.E. Master gathered seven unnamed criminal scientists to assist him in taking over the world and eliminating Superman and the Teen Titans. H.I.V.E.'s first known plot involved kidnapping Lois Lane and removing her memories. They subsequently attempted to learn more about the return of Superman Island from space, and hired Deathstroke the Terminator to kill the New Titans. ''The Superman Family'' was an American comic book series published by DC Comics from 1974 to 1982 featuring supporting characters in the ''Superman'' comics. The term "Superman Family" is often used to refer to the extended cast of characters of comics books associated with Superman. A similarly titled series, ''Superman Family Adventures'', was published in 2012. Publication history ''The Superman Family'' was an amalgamation of the titles ''Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane'', ''Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen'', and ''Supergirl''. The first issue, #164, took its numbering from ''Jimmy Olsen'', which had reached issue #163 and thus had the most issues published.
