H.D. Deve Gowda
Haradanahalli Doddegowda Deve Gowda (; born 18 May 1933 in) is an Indian politician from the state of Karnataka. He served as the 11th prime minister of India from 1 June 1996 to 21 April 1997. He was previously the 14th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1994 to 1996. He presently is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing Karnataka. He is the National President of the Janata Dal (Secular) party. Born in a farming family, he joined the Indian National Congress party in 1953, and remained a member until 1962. He was imprisoned during the Emergency. He became President of the state unit of Janata Dal in 1994, and was considered to be a driving force in the party's victory in Karnataka. Rudresh Gowda
Rudresh Gowda (16 October 1955 – 24 March 2018) was an Indian politician. Gowda trained to be a lawyer. He joined the Janata Party in 1985 and was elected to the Hassan District Council until 1996. Gowda sat in the 11th Lok Sabha, representing Janata Dal and the Janata Party in between 1996 and 1997. He left Janata Dal (Secular) in 2004 for the Indian National Congress. Gowda won election to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly as a representative of Belur in 2008 and 2013. ''People's Party'') was a political party that was founded as an amalgam of Indian political parties opposed to the Emergency that was imposed between 1975 and 1977 by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of the Indian National Congress.
