The H.I.V.E., which stands for the Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination, is a fictional terrorist organization appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The H.I.V.E. organization appeared on the fourth season of The CW show ''Arrow'' with Damien Darhk as their leader. Publication history The H.I.V.E. first appeared in '' The New Teen Titans'' #2 and were created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez. Fictional team history 1st incarnation The H.I.V.E. Master gathered seven unnamed criminal scientists to assist him in taking over the world and eliminating Superman and the Teen Titans. ''The Superman Family'' was an American comic book series published by DC Comics from 1974 to 1982 featuring supporting characters in the ''Superman'' comics. The term "Superman Family" is often used to refer to the extended cast of characters of comics books associated with Superman. A similarly titled series, ''Superman Family Adventures'', was published in 2012. Publication history ''The Superman Family'' was an amalgamation of the titles ''Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane'', ''Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen'', and ''Supergirl''. Harold "Hal" Jordan, one of the characters known as Green Lantern, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created in 1959 by writer John Broome and artist Gil Kane, and first appeared in ''Showcase'' #22 (October 1959). Hal Jordan is a reinvention of the previous Green Lantern who appeared in 1940s comic books as the character Alan Scott.
