Görmeli
Görmeli is a village on the hillside of Taurus mountains near Ermenek, Karaman province, Turkey. Geography Görmeli is located in the Karaman Region’s Taurus Mountains range, on the slopes of Taurus mountains. It is on the south-east side of Ermenek town, in the Karaman province. It is 18 km. from the center of Ermenek and 90 km. from the touristic towns of the mediterranean region Anamur. The Map coordinates are 40° 42° North parallels and 30° 10° East meridians. The village is on the main road of Ermenek and Gülnar. It is surrounded by forests and high mountains. The area is very productive, due to watery fields and soft soil. Almost all vegetables and fruits are grown locally. Görmeli presents quite a spectacular sight with its meadows, streams, plants, trees, animals, and the traditional lifestyle of its people. Karaman Province ( tr, ) is a province of south-central Turkey. It has an area of . A 2010 estimate puts the population at 232,633 people. According to the 2000 census, the population was 243,210. Ermenek
Ermenek is a town and district of Karaman Province in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. As ancient Germanicopolis (in Isauria; has namesakes), a former bishopric, it remains a Latin Catholic titular see. The district forms the core of the plateau region Taşeli. According to 2014 census, population of the district is 29,957 of which 11,332 live in the town of Ermenek. Names The town was historically known as Germanicopolis (Greek: ), Germanig and possibly Clibanus; which later mutated to Ermenek. Ermenek Dam
The Ermenek Dam is a double-curvature concrete arch dam located on the Göksu River in Karaman Province, Turkey. The tall dam ( from thalweg level) was the highest in Turkey at the time of its construction and currently ranks third after Deriner Dam and Yusufeli Dam. The development was backed by the Turkish State Hydraulic Works. Completed in 2009, the primary purpose of the dam is to support its 300 MW power station. The Taurus Mountains ( Turkish: ''Toros Dağları'' or ''Toroslar'') are a mountain complex in southern Turkey, separating the Mediterranean coastal region from the central Anatolian Plateau. The system extends along a curve from Lake Eğirdir in the west to the upper reaches of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers in the east. It is a part of the Alpide belt in Eurasia. Turkish vehicle registration plates are number plates found on Turkish vehicles. The plates use an indirect numbering system associated with the geographical info. In Turkey, number plates are made by authorized private workshops. Appearance Turkish number plate is rectangular in shape and made of aluminium. On the left, there is the country code "TR" in a 4×10 cm blue stripe like in EU countries (without the 12 golden stars). The text is in black characters on white background, and for official vehicles white on black.
