Gymnastics At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's Rhythmic Individual All-around
The Women's rhythmic individual all-around competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held at the Arena Olímpica do Rio. The medals were presented by Alexander Zhukov, IOC member, Russia, and Nataliya Kuzmina, President of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee of the FIG, Russia. Competition format The competition consisted of a qualification round and a final round. The top ten gymnasts in the qualification round advanced to the final round. In each round, the gymnasts performed four routines (ball, hoop, clubs, and ribbon), with the scores added to give a total. HSBC Arena
Jeunesse Arena is an indoor multi-purpose arena, located in the region of Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is named for the American cosmetics company Jeunesse Global through a naming rights deal closed in 2017. Before, the sponsor name was HSBC Arena. The arena was completed in July 2007 and was first known as Arena Olímpica do Rio ''(Rio Olympic Arena)'', which it was known as during the 2016 Summer Olympics. Katsiaryna Halkina
Katsiaryna Aliaksandraŭna Halkina ( be, Кацярына Аляксандраўна Галкіна; russian: Екатерина Александровна Галкина; born 25 February 1997) is a retired Belarusian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2018 European all-around bronze medalist. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, and finished 6th in the all-around final. Personal life Halkina had heart surgery in 2011 and missed 12 months of competition. She announced her retirement from rhythmic gymnastics in June 2021. On 11 October 2021, she announced to fans via her Instagram account that she had moved to Moscow to begin a master's degree program at Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Ana Luiza Filiorianu (born July 10, 1999) is a Romanian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the six-time (2011–14 and 2016–17) Romanian National All-around champion. Ekaterina Volkova (rhythmic Gymnast)
Ekaterina "Katja" Volkova (born 2 July 1997 in St. Petersburg) is a Finnish former individual rhythmic gymnast. She is also Russian citizen, and a daughter of Russian parents. Career Volkova started gymnastics in 2004. She is coached by Larisa Gryadunova and became a member of the Finnish national gymnastics team in 2012. 2013 At the 2013 Finnish championships, she took the silver medal in the all-around behind Jouki Tikkanen and competed at the 2013 World Championships in Kyiv. Nicol Ruprecht
Nicol Ruprecht (born 2 October 1992) is an Austrian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is Austria's most successful rhythmic gymnast. Personal life Ruprecht was born in Innsbruck. Her younger sister, Anna Ruprecht is also a rhythmic gymnast. Career Ruprecht began rhythmic gymnastics in 2001 and has competed in numerous World Cup and Grand Prix series. Veronica Bertolini (born October 19, 1995) is an Italian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the five-time (2013-2017) Italian National all-around champion. Jana Berezko-Marggrander (russian: Яна Березко-Маргграндер, born 17 October 1995 in Tolyatti, Samara Oblast, Russia) is a German retired individual rhythmic gymnast. Kaho Minagawa ( ja, 皆川夏穂; born 20 August 1997) is a retired Japanese individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2017 Asian Championships All-around silver medalist. Neta Rivkin ( he, נטע ריבקין; born June 19, 1991) is a retired Israeli individual rhythmic gymnast. She is one of Israel's most successful rhythmic gymnasts.
