Gymnastics At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's Artistic Qualification
The qualifications round of the women's artistic gymnastics competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics was held at the North Greenwich Arena on July 29. The top 8 teams advanced to the team final, the top 24 gymnasts (with a limit of two per country) to the individual all-around final, and the top 8 gymnasts on each apparatus (with a limit of two per country) to the apparatus finals. Subdivisions Gymnasts from nations taking part in the team all-around event were grouped together, while gymnasts competing without full teams were divided into eight "mixed groups". The groups were split among five subdivisions according to a draw held by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique, and rotated through the four apparatuses together. 2012 Summer Olympics
The 2012 Summer Olympics (officially the Games of the XXX Olympiad and also known as London 2012) was an international multi-sport event held from 27 July to 12 August 2012 in London, England, United Kingdom. The first event, the group stage in women's football, began on 25 July at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, followed by the opening ceremony on 27 July. 10,768 athletes from 204 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) participated in the 2012 Olympics. Marta Pihan-Kulesza
Marta Pihan-Kulesza (Polish pronunciation: ; born 23 July 1987) is a Polish artistic gymnast. She represented her country at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She is an 11-time Polish all-around champion (2004-2005, 2007–2010, 2012–2014, 2018, 2020) and a multiple-time World Cup medalist. Personal life Marta Pihan was born on 23 July 1987 in Szczecin, Zachodniopomorskie, Poland. She has been married to Roman Kulesza since 2009. In 2017, she gave birth to her daughter Jagna. Jessica Brizeida López Arocha (born January 22, 1986) is a Venezuelan artistic gymnast who competes for the Venezuela national team. Barbara Gasser
Barbara Gasser is an Austrian former artistic gymnast. She represented Austria at the 2012 Summer Olympics. In 2012 she was the first Austrian Gymnast since 1964, 48 years, to qualify for artistic gymnastics at the Summer Olympics. Gasser was an Artistic Gymnastics World Cup silver medal winner on the uneven bars in Osijek in 2010.
