Guy Shepherdson
Guy Shepherdson (born 17 February 1982 in Jakarta, Indonesia) is an Australian former rugby union professional footballer. He played as a tight-head prop for the Brumbies and Reds in the Super Rugby competition and played for the Australian national team, the Wallabies. Early life Shepherdson was born in Jakarta as his father worked as an aid official for the Australian International Development Assistance Bureau (AIDAB), now known as AusAID from 1981 to 1983. The family then moved to Canberra and Shepherdson was educated at Canberra Grammar School. He was a member of the Brumbies Academy squad in 1997. He played for the Australian Schoolboys in 1999 and went on to represent Australia at the under-19 and under-23 level. John Connolly (rugby)
John "Knuckles" Connolly (born 26 June 1951, in Brisbane) is a rugby union coach and the former head coach of the Wallabies. Connolly has in the past worked with the Queensland Reds, Stade Français, Swansea RFC as well as Bath Rugby. As a rugby player, Connolly played hooker for the Brothers club in Brisbane. From 1980 through to 1982, Connolly acted as a player and a coach for a rugby team in Darwin. His first major coaching position was with the Brothers club in Brisbane in 1983, acting as the reserve grade coach for three years, taking the team to two premierships. Subsequent roles came to him as he was appointed as the Under 19s and Under 21s Queensland rugby union coach. In 1989, Connolly took up a coaching position within the Queensland Rugby team. The 2011 Super Rugby season was the first season of the new 15-team format for the Super Rugby competition, which involved teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
