Guy Delcourt (editor)
Guy Delcourt (born 27 March 1958) is a French editor, founder of the Delcourt publishing house in 1986. It has since grown into one of the largest publishers of comics in France. In November 2006, he received the rank of , awarded by the President of the Republic Jacques Chirac, as proposed by the Minister of Culture, Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres. The company grew from publishing three titles in 1986, to over 200 in 2006. With over 1200 titles by the end 2005, Delcourt's success has not been based on the popularity of a single series. Versailles
The Palace of Versailles ( ; french: Château de Versailles ) is a former royal residence built by King Louis XIV located in Versailles, about west of Paris, France. The palace is owned by the French Republic and since 1995 has been managed, under the direction of the French Ministry of Culture, by the Public Establishment of the Palace, Museum and National Estate of Versailles. Delcourt is a French publishing house that specializes in comics and manga. It was founded in 1986 through the fusion of the magazines ''Charlie Mensuel'' and ''Pilote''. Guy Delcourt, chief editor of the latter, named the new publishing house Guy Delcourt Productions. Delcourt is the third largest publisher of Franco-Belgian comics, behind Média-Participations and Glénat, and produces some 480 comics a year. Jacques René Chirac (, , ; 29 November 193226 September 2019) was a French politician who served as President of France from 1995 to 2007. Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres (born 13 March 1954 in Neuilly-sur-Seine), often known as RDDV, is a French politician, France's Minister of Culture from 2004 to 2007. He is a member of the UMP center-right party, and the grandson of Henri Donnedieu de Vabres. ''Garulfo'' is a six-volume fantasy graphic novel created by writer Alain Ayroles, cartoonist Bruno Maïorana and colorist Thierry Leprévost. ''Dungeon'' ( French title: ''Donjon'') is a series of comic fantasy comic books created by Joann Sfar and Lewis Trondheim, with contributions from numerous other artists. It was originally published in France by Delcourt as a series of graphic albums; English translations of a large amount of stories have been released by NBM Publishing, first in a black-and-white periodical version and now as several color graphic novels. The series is a parody of sword and sorcery conventions in general, and specifically of the role-playing game ''Dungeons and Dragons''. All of the characters are either anthropomorphic animals or other strange creatures.
