Guy is a city in Faulkner County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 708 at the 2010 census, up from 202 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock– Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Guy is located in northern Faulkner County at (35.324584, -92.334935). Arkansas Highway 25 passes through the town, leading northeast to Quitman and southwest to Greenbrier. Conway, the county seat, is to the southwest via AR 25 and US 65. Guy High School Gymnasium
The Guy High School Gymnasium is a historic school building on the campus of the Guy-Perkins District School System on Arkansas Highway 25, just east of Guy, Arkansas. It is a single story stone structure, with a gabled rood and four brick chimneys. Two gabled porches project from the front side, near the corners, each supported by stone columns and featuring stuccoed pediments. It was built by local labor with funding support from the Works Progress Administration in 1938. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Greenbrier, Arkansas
Greenbrier is a city in Faulkner County, Arkansas, United States. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock– Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 5,707 at the 2020 census, up from 4,706 at the 2010 census. History Prior to European settlement, Native American tribes, including the Quapaw and later the Cherokee, lived in the area. Several historical figures of the Wild West such as Jim Bowie and Jesse James passed through the Greenbrier region toward Oklahoma and Texas. The Wiley brothers settled near East Fork Cadron around 1818, about east of today's Greenbrier. In 1837, Jonathan Hardin settled near the Wiley settlement. Also in the early 19th century, the Casharagos settled north of Greenbrier in the present community of Republican.
