Gustaf-Fredrik Von Rosen
Count Gustaf-Fredrik Hans Göran von Rosen (23 July 1895 – 2 January 1956) was a Swedish Army colonel, equestrian and murderer. Career von Rosen was born on 23 July 1895 in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of Lieutenant General, Count Reinhold von Rosen and Elsa von Horn. He was commissioned as an officer in the Life Guards of Horse (K 1) in 1915 with the rank of '' fänrik''. von Rosen was promoted to lieutenant in 1918 and attended the Royal Swedish Army Staff College from 1921 to 1924. He was then an aspirant in the General Staff from 1926 to 1928 and he was promoted to '' ryttmästare'' in the Life Regiment of Horse (K 1) in 1930. von Rosen served in the German '' Reichswehr'' from 1930 to 1931 and as military attaché in Washington, D.C. from 1931 to 1932 and as liaison officer between the British headquarters and the Swedish battalion during the referendum in Saar from 1934 to 1935. Major (Maj) ( sv, Major, Mj) is a field grade military officer rank in the Swedish Armed Forces, above the rank of captain and below the rank of lieutenant colonel. It is equivalent to the naval rank of lieutenant commander in the Swedish Navy. ''Ryttmästare'' (from the German word ''Rittmeister'') was a military rank in the Swedish cavalry in the Swedish Army. The rank corresponded to the rank of captain in other service branches. The rank was abolished in 1972. History The military rank of ''ryttmästare'' as a designation for the rank of captain had been used since the 16th century. Nynäshamn Municipality (''Nynäshamns kommun'') is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Nynäshamn. Södertörn
Södertörn is a roughly triangular peninsula and artificial island in eastern Södermanland, Sweden, which is bordered by: *Lake Mälaren and the inlet of Saltsjön (a part of the Baltic Sea) to the north, *The Baltic Sea (the Stockholm Archipelago) to the east and the south, *Himmerfjärden and Hallsfjärden (parts of the Baltic Sea) to the west as well as *The Södertälje Canal to the northwest. Clarence Von Rosen
Count Carl Clarence von Rosen (12 May 1867, Stockholm – 12 August 1955) was a Swedish athlete, military officer, and Crown Equerry to the King of Sweden. He became a member of the International Olympic Committee in 1900, and was credited for the re-introduction of Equestrian at the Summer Olympics after it was dropped at the 1904 Olympic Games. He competed in many sports, such as bandy (which he introduced to Sweden), ice hockey, football, lawn tennis and ice skating. In 1900, he founded the sports newspaper ''Nordiskt Idrottslif'' which became the leading sports newspaper in Sweden during its existence. von Rosen was the brother of Count Eric von Rosen. Crown Equerry ( sv, Hovstallmästare) is a title of the head of the Swedish Royal Stables. It is also an honorary title awarded by the king of Sweden. Previously at the Royal Court there was also a Master of the Horse ( sv, Överhovstallmästare) who had the highest oversight of the Royal Stables.
