Guru Sishyan (2010 Film)
''Guru Sishyan'' () is a 2010 Tamil-language action comedy film directed by Sakthi Chidambaram. It stars Sathyaraj and Sundar C. in the lead roles. The title was taken from the 1988 film of the same name. Plot Guru (Sathyaraj) is a slimy moneylender in Rajapalayam, whom everybody including his assistants (Raj Kapoor) hates him. Eeti ( Sundar C.) a smart alec soon becomes his constant companion. The pair gang up and virtually take the town over with their boorish and aggressive ways including humiliating Mahalakshmi (Saranya), at any given opportunity. There is a constant tug of war between Guru and Mahalakshmi who we are told through regular flashbacks were husband and wife who fell out over Guru's sister's suicide. At the interval point it is revealed that Eeti is Mahalakshmi's long lost brother whose mission in life is to unite the estranged couple. Sakthi Chidambaram
Sakthi N Chidambaram (born Dinakar), is an Indian film director, who directs Tamil films. Career His real name is C. Dhinakaran. He first wrote the dialogues for the films ''Kottai Vaasal'' (1992), ''Veettai Paaru Naattai Paaru'' (1994), ''Uzhiyan'' (1994) and ''Pathavi Pramanam'' (1994). Chidambaram made his directorial debut in 1997 with '' Samrat'', starring Ramki, a remake of Hindi film ''Baazigar''. In 1998, he directed the film '' Vettu Onnu Thundu Rendu'', starring Mansoor Ali Khan in the lead role. Both films were failures. After a gap, he changed his name and directed ''Ennamma Kannu'' (2000) with Sathyaraj. The film received mixed reviews and did well. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs. Dhina (also credited as Dheena) ( ta, தினா; born on 15 January 1966) is an Indian film and television series composer from Tamil Nadu, India. Biography and career Dhina first worked as an assistant musician under popular composer G. K. Venkatesh, later being engaged by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja as a music conductor. He later became a music director for several Tele serials scoring for the title tracks.
