Guo Shiqiang
Guo Shiqiang (, born 8 July 1975) is a former Chinese professional basketball player and current coach for the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association. He is the uncle of Guo Ailun. Playing career Guo started his professional career in 1993, and spent most of his career at the Liaoning Hunters, and was a longtime member of the Chinese national team, appearing with the team at the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, as well as the 2002 FIBA World Championship. He also helped the team win the gold medal at the ABC Championship 2003. Managerial career Guo announced his retirement in 2005 at the age of 30. He stepped up as the head coach of Liaoning Hunters in 2006 after Jiang Xingquan left, and helped Liaoning Hunters to enter the semi-finals of the 2006-07 season, and further into the finals of the 2007-08 season. The 2017–18 CBA season was the 23rd season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The regular season was initially scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 21, 2017, with the Guangdong Southern Tigers hosting the Shenzhen Leopards, but later rescheduled to Saturday, October 28, 2017, with the defending champion Xinjiang Flying Tigers hosting the Jilin Northeast Tigers. The 2010 FIBA World Championship was the 16th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship contested by the men's national teams. The tournament ran from 28 August to 12 September 2010. It was co-organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Turkish Basketball Federation and the 2010 Organising Committee. 2007–08 Chinese Basketball Association Season
The 2007–08 CBA season was the 13th CBA season. The season was shortened due to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and the regular season ended in early January 2008. Guangdong Southern Tigers won the CBA title, even after the departure of Yi Jianlian for NBA. Regular season Xinjiang Flying Tigers finished the regular season with 26–4 in second place. Before the playoffs, it was determined that one of their players, Sou Song Cun, was not of Chinese nationality, thus violating the rule that each team may only have two foreign players. The league subsequently ruled Xinjiang loss with the score of 0–20 in all 18 matches in which Sou played, 15 of them wins originally. Jiang Xingquan
Jiang Xingquan (; born 5 June 1940) is a retired Chinese professional basketball player and coach. He is the current consultant to head coach of Liaoning Flying Leopards in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He is considered one of the most famous Chinese basketball coach, and is known for his strict rules and ability to promote young players. Playing career Jiang graduated in 1958 from Shenyang Sport University. Between 1960 and 1970, he played for the Liaoning basketball team, and stepped up as the team's head coach in 1970. Coaching career Clubs Jiang was appointed by the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in 2002 in the second tier league. He led the team to promote into the Chinese Basketball Association.
