Guo Hong'an
Guo Hong'an (; 2 February 1943 – 16 January 2023) was a Chinese translator most notable for being one of the main translators into Chinese of the works of the French poet Charles Baudelaire and Albert Camus. Biography Guo was born in Laiwu County, Shandong, on 2 February 1943. After graduating from the Department of Western Languages, Peking University in 1966, he successively worked as a staff of the Second Artillery Command and translator of the Xinhua News Agency. From 1975 to 1977, he studied at the French School of Language and Culture at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Guo returned to China in 1977 and did his postgraduate work at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Guo started to publish translations in 1978, and joined the China Writers Association in 1986. Guo died in Beijing on 16 January 2023, at the age of 79. Laiwu () was a prefecture-level city in central Shandong Province, China. Bordered the provincial capital of Jinan to the north, Zibo to the east and Tai'an to the southwest, it was the smallest prefecture-level city in the province. China Writers Association
China Writers Association or Chinese Writers Association (CWA, ) is a subordinate people's organization of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC). Founded in July 1949, the organization was initially named the China National Literature Workers Association. In September 1953, it was renamed the China Writers Association. The association's leadership was purged shortly after the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre. In April 2012, the organization changed its translated name to China Writers Association. It now has more than 9,000 registered members, with branch associations across the nation. The first CWA Chair was Mao Dun, under the leadership of the then CFLAC Chairman Guo Moruo. Fu Lei Translation And Publishing Award
The Fu Lei Translation and Publishing Award (French: Le Prix Fu Lei) (Chinese: 傅雷翻译出版奖) is an award established in 2009 by the French Embassy in China to recognize the works of Chinese translators and publishers translated from French publications. Yves Bonnefoy
Yves Jean Bonnefoy (24 June 1923, Tours – 1 July 2016 Paris) was a French poet and art historian. He also published a number of translations, most notably the plays of William Shakespeare which are considered among the best in French. He was professor at the Collège de France from 1981 to 1993 and is the author of several works on art, art history, and artists including Miró and Giacometti, and a monograph on Paris-based Iranian artist Farhad Ostovani.
