Gunnerus Medal
The Gunnerus Medal ( no, Gunnerusmedaljen) is a medal awarded by the learned society Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters. It was inaugurated in 1927, and named after Johan Ernst Gunnerus, founder of the learned society. Members of the learned society are eligible to suggest candidates, and the medal is awarded by the board of directors. Håkon Bleken
Håkon Ingvald Bleken (born January 9, 1929 in Trondheim) is a Norwegian painter and graphic artist. Education and work as an artist Bleken started his art education at Trondheim art school, where he studied under Karsten Keiseraas and Oddvar Alstad from 1948 to 1949. He then studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo under professor Jean Heiberg from 1949 to 1952. In 1950, he participated in the etching class at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry under Chrix Dahl. Kristian Johan Fossheim (born 4 December 1935) is a Norwegian physicist. He was born in Jølster. Steinar Supphellen
Steinar Baldursson, known by the mononym Steinar (born 1995) is a singer and songwriter. Steinar was born in Grafarvogur, a district of Reykjavík. He released his debut album ''Beginning'' in Iceland on 15 November 2013 containing 9 tracks in English all written by Steinar himself. He collaborated with Stefán Örn Gunnlaugsson, Kristinn Snær Agnarsson, and Redd Lights. He described the making of the album as tiring as it took much longer than it should have. After writing the album he wasn't sure that he wanted to release the album in Iceland. When Sena, Iceland's largest record label, encouraged him to do so he decided to go for it and released the hit song "Up" as the first single off the album. Up was a tremendous success and stayed at the top of the Icelandic singles chart for 6 consecutive weeks. Ernst Håkon Jahr
Ernst Håkon Jahr (born 4 March 1948) is a Norwegian linguist with about 230 publications, including about 50 books. He is currently (2012) dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education at the University of Agder. He was born in Oslo, and took his cand.philol. (PhD) degree at the University of Oslo in 1976, and his dr.philos. (i.e., Dr. hab.) degree at the University of Tromsø in 1984.
