Lahore Qalandars ( ur, ; pnb, لہور قلندرز; abbreviated as LQ) is a Pakistani professional cricket franchise which plays in the Pakistan Super League, representing the city of Lahore. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). The South Asian Games (SAG or SA Games), formerly known as the South Asian Federation Games (SAFG or SAF Games), is a quadrennial multi-sport event held among the athletes from South Asia. 2010 South Asian Games
The 2010 South Asian Games, officially the XI South Asian Games, was a major multi-sport event that took place from 29 January to 8 February 2010 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This was the third time that the Bangladeshi capital hosted the South Asian Games, thus becoming the first city to hold the games three times. Roughly 2000 athletes from eight countries competed at the games in 23 different sports. The sporting giant of the region, India continued its dominance in the game's medal tally with a staggering 175 medals including 90 gold medals. Cricket was included for the first time at the 2010 South Asian Games, hosted by Dhaka, Bangladesh. A men's Twenty20, 20-over tournament was played from 31 January to 7 February 2010. The tournament was contested by five of the eight members of the South Asian Games, South Asian Sports Council, with squads restricted to players aged 21 or under. Two venues were used – the Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi and the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. The Multan cricket team was a first-class cricket team based in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. Their home ground was the Multan Cricket Stadium. They participated in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. For List A and Twenty20 cricket the team were known as the Multan Tigers and they participate in the various Pakistan List A competitions and in the Faysal Bank T20 Cup.
