Dallas Green (musician)
Dallas Michael John Albert Green (born September 29, 1980) is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter and record producer who records under the name City and Colour. He is also known for his contributions as a singer, rhythm guitarist and songwriter for the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. In 2005, he debuted his first full-length album, ''Sometimes'', which achieved platinum certification in 2006. City and Colour began performing in small intimate venues between Alexisonfire tours. The name ''City and Colour'' comes from his own name: ''Dallas, Texas, Dallas'', a city, and ''Green'', a colour. ''If I Should Go Before You'' is the fifth studio album by City and Colour. It was released on October 9, 2015, through Dine Alone Records. The release was City and Colour's third consecutive studio album to reach No. 1 on the Canadian Albums Chart. Reception The album received very positive reviews upon release, with some believing it may be Green's best album to date. The album also did well commercially, becoming the band's first number one album on the Canadian iTunes Store. Elliott Smith
Steven Paul Smith (August 6, 1969 – October 21, 2003), known professionally as Elliott Smith, was an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Smith was born in Omaha, Nebraska, raised primarily in Texas, and lived much of his life in Portland, Oregon, where he gained popularity. Smith's primary instrument was the guitar, though he also played piano, clarinet, bass guitar, drums, and harmonica.
