Guangzhou–Maoming Railway
The Guangzhou–Maoming railway or Guangmao railway (), is a railroad in Guangdong Province of China between Guangzhou, the provincial capital, and Maoming. The line has a total length of and comprises the Guangzhou–Sanshui railway (Guangsan line), built from 1902 to 1904, and the Sanshui-Maoming railway (Sanmao line), built from 1958 to 1991. Major cities and towns along route include Guangzhou, Sanshui, Zhaoqing, Xinxing County, Yangchun, and Maoming. DF4B At Guangmao Railway
The DF4 (Chinese: 东风4) is a type of diesel-electric locomotive used in the People's Republic of China. It has been in production since 1969 and is still produced as of 2007 by several local companies. It is the most common locomotive in China and is used for both passenger and freight services. Models DF4 The first DF4 was built in 1969 in Dalian. The first 108 locomotives that were built here are the original DF4s using the 16V240ZJ engine. It took seven years to build all 108 locomotives of this type. Due to unstable technique in the production of early-built DF4 locomotives, malfunctions of mechanic and electric parts occurred frequently during the operation, especially the diesel engine. Thus, most DF4 locomotives were taken out of service for maintenance, and railroad engineers from Fengtai Locomotive Depot sarcastically joked that the DF4 "can't make it from Dongdan, Beijing, Dongdan to Xisi", two neighborhoods of Beijing. Hechun–Maoming Railway
The Hechun–Maoming railway or Hemao railway (), is a railroad in Guangdong Province, China, between Hechun Station on the Litang–Zhanjiang railway and the city of Maoming. The line has a total length of and was built from 1956 to 1959. The line was originally built to support the development of the petrochemical industry in Maoming. After the completion of the Sanshui–Maoming railway in 1991, the Hemao Line became a connecting section between the Litang–Zhanjiang and Guangzhou–Maoming railways. Together, the three railways form part of China's southern coastal railway corridor. The Guangzhou–Meizhou–Shantou railway () is a railway in Guangdong Province, China. The electrified railway, also known as the Guangmeishan railway, is named after the three primary cities along route Guangzhou, Meizhou and Shantou, and has a total length of . The line was built from 1991 to 1995.(Chinese1995年 广梅汕铁路和海湾大桥通车2011-12-28 The Changping to Huizhou section was opened on 1 July 1992. It extends across the eastern half of Guangdong Province from Guangzhou to Meizhou in the interior and then south to Shantou on the coast. Cities along the route include Guangzhou, Dongguan, Huizhou, Heyuan, Longchuan, Xingning, Meizhou, Fengshun, Jieyang, Chaozhou and Shantou. In 1996, the Guangzhou-Longchuan section of the line became the southernmost section of the Beijing–Kowloon railway. The Yangchun–Yangjianggang railway () is a railway line in Yangjiang, Guangdong, China. History Construction began in September 1995.
