Guanajuato Inland Port
Guanajuato Inland Port or GTO Inland Port is a dry port facility located at the center of Mexico in Guanajuato, Mexico. The Guanajuato are primarily Industrial Parks. Santa Fe I and II were designed and built in partnership with a Mexican industrial developer. It offers land for manufacturing and logistic operations. In the last months, several foreign and domestic companies have decided to set up operations in the Santa Fe Industrial Park. Such companies include Hino Motors (a Toyota company), Guala Dispensing, Mailhot, Samot, Teco Westinghouse, Softer, Hiroshima Aluminum, Volkswagen, Pirelli and Mexico’s top footwear manufacturers; Flexi and Emyco. There is a new extension, Santa Fe II Industrial Park at GTO Inland Port. A Photovoltaic Facility will supply renewable energy to industrial plants in the complex and the region. Silao, Guanajuato
Silao is a municipality in the west-central part of the state of Guanajuato in Mexico. Its seat is the city of the same name. This municipality lies adjacent to the west side of the municipality of Guanajuato, the state capital. A dry port (sometimes referred to as an inland port) is an inland intermodal terminal directly connected by road or rail to a seaport, operating as a centre for the transshipment of sea cargo to inland destinations. In addition to their role in cargo transshipment, dry ports may also include facilities for storage and consolidation of goods, maintenance for road or rail cargo carriers and customs clearance services. The location of these facilities at a dry port relieves competition for storage and customs space at the seaport itself.
