Grigol Dolidze
Grigol Dolidze (born 25 October 1982) is a retired Georgian footballer who most recently played for FC Samgurali Tskhaltubo. Career As one of the longest-serving Georgian player, he has taken part in more than 400 official matches in the national top division. Dolidze has won Erovnuli Liga with Torpedo Kutaisi. As a champion's squad member, he was named in the 2017 team of the season. One of the two goals that he netted against Chikhura Sachkhere on 2 June 2017 was announced the Erovnuli Liga Goal of the Season. Dolidze is also the four-time winner of Georgian Cup. In January 2023, at the age of 40 he announced his retirement after a 22-year-long career. International career He has been capped 3 time for the national team. Lanchkhuti
Lanchkhuti ( ka, ლანჩხუთი) is a city in western Georgian region of Guria. It has a population of about 8,000. Lanchkhuti received city status in 1961. Under the USSR, it was the centre of the Georgian SSR Lanchkhuti area and today continues to serve as the capital of the eponymous district within the Guria region. Lanchkhuti is an industrial town with a tea processing factory, cannery, meat and dairy factory and a brick and tile factory. The town is served by a railway station on the Samtredia-Batumi line. Georgia National Football Team
The Georgia national football team ( ka, საქართველოს ეროვნული საფეხბურთო ნაკრები, tr) represents the country of Georgia in men's international football matches, and it is controlled by the Georgian Football Federation. The Georgian team's first match took place in 1990, while Georgia was still part of the Soviet Union. The team have attempted to qualify for each major tournament from Euro 1996 onwards, but have not achieved qualification yet, although they came very close to Euro 2020. Home games are played at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi. The 2018 Georgian Cup was a single elimination association football tournament which began on 16 April 2018 and ended on 25 November 2018. Chikhura Sachkhere were the defending champions of the tournament after winning the previous season's cup 4–3 in a penalty shootout over Torpedo Kutaisi. The 2016 Georgian Cup (also known as the ''David Kipiani Cup'') is the twenty season overall and the twenty-seven since independence of the Georgian annual football tournament. 2017 Erovnuli Liga
The 2017 Erovnuli Liga (formerly known as ''Umaglesi Liga'') was the 29th season of top-tier football in Georgia. Samtredia are the defending champions. The season began on 4 March 2017 and ended on 26 November 2017. Teams and stadia Zugdidi and Tskhinvali were directly relegated at the end of the previous season; Sioni Bolnisi and Guria Lanchkhuti were also relegated after losing play-off ties. Because the league contracted from 14 to 10 teams for this season, there was no promotion from the 2016 Pirveli Liga. Chikhura Sachkhere
Football Club Chikhura Sachkhere, commonly known as Chikhura Sachkhere or simply Chikhura, is a Georgian football club based in Sachkhere. After the 2022 season they were relegated to Liga 4, the fourth tier of Georgian league system. History Founded in 1938, during World War II the club was disbanded, but later they resumed participation in low leagues of the republican championship. Since 2002 Chikhura has been financed by the Georgian businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili. The club spent many years in lower divisions before getting promoted to Umaglesi Liga in 2012. The league gained a stable and decent member, known as a tough rival for championship title candidates. From the outset the club proved they were going to challenge the best teams. In 2013 Chikhura knocked out top flight sides Shukura, Dila and Sioni and reached David Kipiani Cup final.
