Grey Silo Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 2000 and owned by the city of Waterloo, the course is within RIM Park along the Grand River (Ontario), Grand River. Designed by Steve Young, it was the host course of the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic, a 72-hole event on the LPGA Tour, from 2012 LPGA Tour, 2012 to 2014. The Manulife LPGA Classic was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour. The 72-hole, full-field event was first played in June 2012 at the Grey Silo Golf Course in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The title sponsor was Manulife Financial, a global insurance company and financial services provider with headquarters in Toronto. At the inaugural event in 2012, Brittany Lang won her first LPGA title in a four-way sudden-death playoff. It was the first-ever win on the tour by an alumna of Duke. RIM Park
RIM Park is a 500-acre (2 km²) city park facility offering both outdoor and indoor amenities on the northeast side of the city of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, near the Eastbridge neighbourhood. Key facilities and features include the Manulife Financial Sportsplex and Healthy Living Centre, the heritage Elam Martin farmstead, The Benchwarmer sports bar, and the Grey Silo Golf Course. The 2012 LPGA Tour was a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world that began in Australia on February 9 and ended November 18 in Florida. The tournaments are sanctioned by the United States-based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).
