Gregor Main (born July 5, 1989) is an American professional golfer. Main was born in Berkeley, California. He played college golf at UCLA, turning pro after his junior year. He earned medalist honors qualifying for the 2011 U.S. Amateur. Main qualified for the 2016 U.S. Open through sectional qualifying. After posting 66 at the morning round at the Olympic Club, Ocean Course and 68 at Lake Merced Golf Club for a cumulative 134, he finished T2 just behind Miguel Tabuena at 132. Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. A professional golfer is somebody who receives payments or financial rewards in the sport of golf that are directly related to their skill or reputation. A person who earns money by teaching or playing golf is traditionally considered a "golf pro," most of whom are teachers/coaches. Lake Merced Golf Club
Lake Merced Golf Club is an 18-hole private golf club on the West Coast of the United States, located in Daly City, California, an adjacent suburb south of San Francisco. Founded in 1922, the course opened the following year. Originally designed by Willie Lock, Alister MacKenzie improved the bunkers and areas around the greens in 1929, and Rees Jones handled the course update in 1996. The course lost land on its eastern boundary to eminent domain in the 1960s for the construction of Interstate 280, and several holes were altered, redesigned by Robert Muir Graves. Lake Merced is a historically Jewish country club, started by Jews in San Francisco who were excluded from the city's other clubs. Miguel Luis Lopez Tabuena (born 13 October 1994) is a Filipino professional golfer. He plays on the Asian Tour where he has won twice. Amateur career As an amateur golfer, Tabuena won the events in Malaysia and Singapore and won the silver medal at the 2010 Asian Games in the men's individual event. He turned professional in 2011. Professional career Tabuena has played on the Asian Tour since 2011. He picked up his first win at the 2015 Philippine Open. In 2016 he was joint runner-up in the Maybank Championship Malaysia, an event co-sanctioned with the European Tour. His second Asian Tour win came at the 2018 Queen's Cup hosted by Jaidee Foundation.
