Greg Giuffria
Gregg Giuffria (born July 28, 1951) is an American rock musician and businessman. He was the keyboardist for AOR bands Angel, House of Lords, and Giuffria. Career Giuffria is originally from Gulfport, Mississippi, graduating from high school in 1969. A talented keyboardist, he played in several local bands including The Telstars and Flower Power (who released several singles on the Tune Kel label), he moved to the US West Coast where in the mid 1970s he joined Angel. After the band broke up in 1981 Giuffria put together his own band, Giuffria, with vocalist David Glen Eisley, guitarist Craig Goldy, bassist Chuck Wright, and drummer Alan Krigger, and achieved some success with their first eponymous album and first single "Call to the Heart," which made the Top 20 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Gene Simmons (born Chaim Witz; he, חיים ויץ, ; born August 25, 1949) is an Israeli-American musician. Also known by his stage persona The Demon, he is the bassist and co-lead singer of Kiss, the hard rock band he co-founded with Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss in the early 1970s. Simmons was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014 as a member of Kiss. Early life Simmons was born as Chaim Witz on August 25, 1949, at Rambam Hospital in Haifa, Israel, to Jewish immigrants from Hungary. His mother, Florence Klein (1925–2018) (née Flóra Kovács), was born in Jánd and survived internment in Nazi concentration camps. ''Sahara'' is the second studio album by the American Rock music, rock band House of Lords (band), House of Lords, released on August 21, 1990. The album was recorded without original guitarist Lanny Cordola, but with Doug Aldrich as the band's guitarist. Still, the album features many guest contributors on guitar, such as Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick), Chris Impellitteri (Impellitteri) and Mandy Meyer (Asia (band), Asia, Krokus (band), Krokus). The band had hoped that the album would bring them commercial success, like the album '' Alive!'' did for Kiss, but it did not, leading to Angel's break up a year later. ''White Hot'' is the fourth album by the rock band Angel. After the release of ''On Earth as It Is in Heaven'', bass guitar player Mickie Jones left and was replaced by Felix Robinson. The album contains Angel's only top 50 hit, " Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore," originally recorded by The Young Rascals in 1965, which went to #44 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1978. ''On Earth as It Is in Heaven'' is the third album by the rock band Angel. It is the last album with Mickie Jones who had been the band's bass guitar player since its formation. It was produced by Eddie Kramer and recorded in an actual castle in the Hollywood Hills. "Cast the First Stone" and "Just A Dream" are very similar in sound to the songs on ''Angel'' and '' Helluva Band''. In fact, "Cast The First Stone" was written during the ''Helluva Band'' sessions. The band toured non-stop and it was during this time they made their only tour of Japan. The album peaked at #76 on the US Billboard charts. Lovember Records reissued ''On Earth...'' in a digitally remastered limited edition in August 2008.
