Greentop Circus
Greentop Community Circus Centre is the only circus school in Yorkshire, England, and was established in 1995 on the TV programme ''Challenge Anneka'', and is one of three UK circus schools providing accredited level training courses in circus skills. The school was founded and run by volunteers before investment from the Arts Council England, provided funds for paid staff. Public funding is complemented by earned income through social enterprises. The school is a founder member of the UK Circus Training Action Group alongside three other UK circus schools: The Circus Space, Circomedia, and Skylight. Challenge Anneka
''Challenge Anneka'' is a British reality programme that aired on BBC1 from 8 September 1989 to 15 October 1995 and was hosted by Anneka Rice. It was announced in 2006 that the series was returning, but this time on ITV. The first of the two specials was shown on Boxing Day 2006. The second was transmitted in June 2007. On 23 May 2022, it was announced that the series would be revived again, this time on Channel 5 for a four-part series. This was shot September-November 2022. Circomedia
Circomedia is a school for contemporary circus and physical theatre based in Bristol, England. The school offers a variety of training courses and workshops that teach circus skills in the context of physical theatre, performance and creativity. It was founded in 1993 by Bim Mason and Helen Crocker, following the closure of Fooltime, Britain’s first circus school. It is financially supported by Arts Council South West and a range of other funding. St Thomas is a former Anglican church in the Brightside area of Sheffield in England which now serves as a circus training school. The Sheffield and Rotherham Railway opened in 1838, and both industry and housing spread along its route through the Lower Don Valley.
