Greater Copenhagen Light Rail
Greater Copenhagen Light Rail ( da, Hovedstadens Letbane) is a planned electric light rail system crossing the lines of the S-train in Greater Copenhagen, Denmark, parallel to but outside the borders of Copenhagen Municipality. Its first stage is known as the Ring 3 Light Rail, for which construction started in 2018. It will go from Lundtofte Park north of Copenhagen to Ishøj station in the southwest, and it is expected to open in 2025, with an annual ridership of 13-14 million projected. The line will be owned by the Ringby-Letbanesamarbejdet (Ring city-Light rail cooperation), which is a collaboration between the municipalities serviced or affected by the line. The Copenhagen metropolitan area or Metropolitan Copenhagen ( da, Hovedstadsområdet, , literally "The Capital Area") is a large commuter belt (the area in which it is practical to commute to work) surrounding Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Kokkedal Station
Kokkedal Station is a railway station serving the suburb of Kokkedal on the east coast of North Zealand, north of central Copenhagen. The station is located on the coast between Helsingør and Copenhagen. The train services are currently operated by the railway company DSB Øresund which runs a frequent Oresundtrain service between Helsingør and Copenhagen with some services continuing on to Malmö and other destinations in southern Sweden. Glostrup Station
Glostrup station is a commuter rail railway station serving the railway town/suburb of Glostrup west of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located on the Høje Taastrup radial of Copenhagen's S-train network. It is located close to the historical, administrative and commercial centre of Glostrup Municipality, but also serves Brøndbyvester in Brøndby Municipality, whose boundary comes within a few hundred metres from the station. In front of the station is a major bus terminal from which local and express buses go in many directions. The station is connected to the nearby Glostrup Shopping Center via an underground walkway, the same walkway which is used to access the platforms. Herlev station is a station on the Frederikssund radial of the S-train network in Copenhagen, Denmark. It serves the central part of Herlev municipality. Herlev Hospital
Herlev Hospital (former da, Amtssygehuset i Herlev) is a hospital in Herlev, Denmark, close to Copenhagen. The building is tall and has 25 floors. It is famous for being Denmark's tallest building. Its modern, functional architecture in bright concrete, glass and bronze-colored aluminum gives a unique impression. The building was designed by Gehrdt Bornebusch in collaboration with Max Brüel and Jørgen Selchau. Sven Hansen was the landscape architect while the artistic decoration was done by Poul Gernes. Its construction began in 1965 and the hospital was finished in 1975. It was opened in 1976. The hospital has 1,616 beds (of 2010) and employs about 4,000 people and tends to 82,000 patients annually. The hospital is a teaching hospital for medical students from Copenhagen University.
