Gravity Noir is a British synth-pop band that was established in the early 1990s. Background The founder of Gravity Noir, British-Belgian dual citizen Patrick John Angele Knight, performed as a Boy George tribute act and participated in several talent competitions between 1985 and 1996. In 1987 he was named among the top-12 best sound-mixers in Belgium by magazine, which released an album featuring Knight's cover of " Everything I Own". He won second and third place on Dutch television's '' Soundmixshow'' and also appeared on the British programme ''Stars in Their Eyes''. During the formation of the band Gravity Noir, Knight was working on a side project called Greater Than One in 1991. A Twelve-inch single called ''Listen to the rhythm flow'' was released under the name of Knight's own Belgian record label Jumping Man Records. ''Stars in Their Eyes'' is a British television talent series, based on Joop van den Ende's Dutch format ''Soundmixshow''. It featured a singing contest in which members of the public impersonate showbiz stars. The show premiered on 21 July 1990 and initially ran until 23 December 2006. It was produced by Granada for ITV and originally presented by Leslie Crowther. Matthew Kelly took over in May 1993, before he was replaced by Cat Deeley in April 2004. An Elvis Presley special hosted by Russ Abbot aired in January 1993, as well as 2003 specials hosted by Davina McCall. A number of celebrity specials and a children's spin-off series were also aired during the original run. ''Handmade'' is the second album by the British EDM band Gravity Noir, released in 2016 by Gravity Productions, CD Baby, and Indieplant. The album was originally released in the Netherlands but almost simultaneously worldwide. Overview ''Handmade'' was Gravity Noir's second studio album after years of silence and subsequent reformation in 2016. Distancing from creating cover versions and completely dedicated to produce new songs. Patrick J. A. Knight, singer and founder of Gravity Noir, has revived his life's work with this production. Ter Apel Monastery
Ter Apel Monastery ( nl, Klooster Ter Apel) is a former monastery in the village of Ter Apel in the northeastern Dutch province of Groningen. It is the only monastery in the larger area of Friesland and Groningen that survived the Reformation in a decent condition, and the only remaining rural monastery from the Middle Ages in the Netherlands. The convent buildings house a museum for monastery and church history and for religious art, as well as two contemporary art galleries. The former lay church of the monastery still functions as a reformed church. FilmNet was the name used for several premium television channels in Europe during the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) are an English electronic band formed in Wirral, Merseyside, in 1978. The group consists of co-founders Andy McCluskey (vocals, bass guitar) and Paul Humphreys (keyboards, vocals), along with Martin Cooper (keyboards, saxophone) and Stuart Kershaw (drums); McCluskey has been the only constant member.
