Grant Forrest
Grant Forrest (born 19 June 1993) is a Scottish professional golfer. He plays on the European Tour, and won the 2021 Hero Open. Forrest had a successful amateur career which included being runner-up in the Amateur Championship and playing in the 2015 Walker Cup. Amateur career Forrest had an exceptionally successful amateur career. He won the Scottish Amateur in 2012 and the St Andrews Links Trophy in 2014. He reached the final of the 2015 Amateur Championship where he lost 4&2 to Romain Langasque and played in the Walker Cup later the same year. Forrest played college golf at the University of San Diego where he won four events. He turned professional in late 2016. Professional career Forrest made his professional debut at the 2016 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, finishing tied for 41st place. Livingston, West Lothian
Livingston ( sco, Leivinstoun, gd, Baile Dhunlèibhe) is the largest town in West Lothian, Scotland. Designated in 1962, it is the fourth post-war new town to be built in Scotland. Taking its name from a village of the same name incorporated into the new town, it was originally developed in the then-counties of Midlothian and West Lothian along the banks of the River Almond. The Andalucía Costa del Sol Match Play 9 is a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour, played in Spain. It is a mixed stroke-play and match-play event, broadly similar to the World Super 6 Perth, the main difference being that the match-play matches are over 9 holes rather than 6. Aaron Rai won the inaugural tournament, beating Gavin Moynihan in the final. The inaugural event was held at La Cala Resort before moving to Valle Romano Golf in 2018 and 2019. Jacques Léglise Trophy
The Jacques Léglise Trophy is an annual amateur boys' team golf competition between Great Britain & Ireland and the Continent of Europe. It was first played in 1977, as a one-day match before the Boys Amateur Championship, but since 1996 it has been played as a separate two-day match. The venue generally alternates between Great Britain and Ireland and the continent. European Boys' Team Championship
The European Boys' Team Championship (Jean-Louis Dupont Trophy) is a European amateur team golf championship for men up to 18 organized by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1980 and it has been played annually since. Since the European Youths' Team Championship, for men under 22, was discontinued in 2006, due to the trend of players reaching elite level at an earlier age, the European Boys' Team Championship has been regarded as the most important junior team event in Europe outside the British Isles. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. The 2018 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. The 2021 European Tour was the 50th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972 and the 13th and final edition of the Race to Dubai. The Race to Dubai was won by Collin Morikawa, becoming the first American player to do so. Matti Schmid was named Rookie of the Year. James Morrison (golfer)
James Ian Morrison (born 24 January 1985) is an English professional golfer. Early life Morrison attended Reed's School. He played in the same England youth cricket teams as Alastair Cook, Ravi Bopara and Tim Bresnan, with whom he remains friends. Amateur career At the age of 16, he switched to golf and his handicap fell from 18 to scratch in less than a year. He subsequently accepted a scholarship to the University of South Carolina. Professional career Morrison turned professional in 2006 and played initially on the PGA EuroPro Tour. At the end of 2007, he played all three stages of Qualifying School and finished 44th, earning a regular place on the Challenge Tour. The Irish Open (currently known as the Horizon Irish Open for sponsorship reasons) () is a professional golf tournament on the European Tour. The Irish Open was first played in 1927 and was played annually, except for the war years, until 1950. There was a tournament in 1953, but the event was then not played again until revived in 1975. It has been contested annually since then. From 1963 to 1974 Carroll's sponsored a tournament, generally called the Carroll's International and in 1975 they became the sponsor of the Irish Open which became known as the Carroll's Irish Open. 2019 European Tour
The 2019 European Tour was the 48th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972 and the 11th edition of the Race to Dubai. The Race to Dubai was won by Spain's Jon Rahm, who was also named Golfer of the Year. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre was the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year.
