Grant Broadcasters
Grant Broadcasters is an Australian regional radio network. Founded in 1942, by 2019 it owned 53 radio stations. In 2022 it sold 46 to Here, There & Everywhere retaining shareholdings in seven in Canberra, Geelong, Goulburn and Perth. History Grant Broadcasters was founded by Walter Grant in 1942 when he bought 2DU in Dubbo. In 1972 a shareholding in 2ST in Nowra was purchased followed in 1979 by 2PK in Parkes and in 1982 2MG in Mudgee. In 1986 2DU, 2PK and 2MG were sold with full ownership taken of 2ST. Over the next three decades, the company expanded through acquisition, purchasing radio stations in all states and territories of Australia, owning 53 stations by November 2021. In November 2021, Grant Broadcasters agreed terms to sell 46 stations to Here, There & Everywhere (HTE). GNFM
GNFM (formerly known as 2GN) is an Australian radio station serving the Goulburn region, which opened in January 1932 as 2GN on a frequency of 1390 kHz (1368 kHz between 1978 and 2022). Test broadcasting began on 9 December 1931. It is now co-owned by the Capital Radio Network and Grant Broadcasters, broadcasting on 107.7 MHz. The station carries a Classic Hits format and ''Forever Classic'' branding similar to its sister stations, 2CA, 6IX, XLFM and 3GG. The station's studios are shared with sister station, Eagle FM. GNFM has an FM repeater serving the township of Crookwell and re-transmitting GNFM on 106.1 MHz. On 12 May 2022, the station transitioned to FM and it was renamed GNFM. 93.5 Eagle FM is a contemporary hit music station based in Goulburn, Australia and broadcasting to the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales on 93.5 FM. Eagle FM is a part of the Capital Radio Network. About Eagle FM launched on 31 January 1997 as the subsequent FM licence to Goulburn's commercial station on AM, 2GN (now GNFM). Capital Radio Network is an Australian radio company, which owns stations in Canberra, Goulburn, Cooma, the Snowy Mountains, Gippsland and Perth. The company is a subsidiary of Blyton Group, with Kevin James Blyton as managing director for both.
