Political Party
A political party is an organization that coordinates candidates to compete in a particular country's elections. It is common for the members of a party to hold similar ideas about politics, and parties may promote specific political ideology, ideological or policy goals. Political parties have become a major part of the politics of almost every country, as modern party organizations developed and spread around the world over the last few centuries. It is extremely rare for a country to have Non-partisan democracy, no political parties. Some countries have Single-party state, only one political party while others have Multi-party system, several. Parties are important in the politics of autocracies as well as democracies, though usually democracies have more political parties than autocracies. Maria de Fátima Bezerra (born 19 May 1955) is a Brazilian politician. She has been serving as Governor of Rio Grande do Norte since January 2019. The Social Democratic Party ( pt, Partido Social Democrático, PSD) is a political party in Brazil led by Gilberto Kassab and uniting dissidents from various political parties, especially the Democrats, Brazilian Social Democracy Party and Progressive Party. The party has become a major force for centrism in Brazil and commonly unites with both left-wing and right-wing parties. Rosalba Scotia Ciarlini Rosado (Mossoró, October 26, 1952) is a medical doctor and Brazilian politician. Affiliated with the PP, she was the governor of the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Iberê Paiva Ferreira de Souza (February 27, 1944 – September 13, 2014) was a Brazilian politician and lawyer. Ferreira served as the Governor of Rio Grande do Norte from March 31, 2010, until January 1, 2011, as well as the Vice Governor of Rio Grande do Norte from January 1, 2007, until March 30, 2010. Wilma Maria De Faria
Wilma de Faria (17 February 1945 – 15 June 2017) was a Brazilian politician. She served as the governor of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte from 2003 to 2010, the first woman to hold the position. She was a member of the AVANTE. Death Wilma de Faria died on 15 June 2017, aged 72, at São Lucas Nursing Home, in Natal, due to multiple organ failure. Progressistas (; PP) is a centre-right to right-wing political party in Brazil.
