Governor Of Baja California Sur
The governor is the chief executive of the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. The present governor is Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío of Morena, who took office on September 10, 2021. Governors of Baja California Sur Baja California Sur was admitted as a Mexican state on October 8, 1974. Félix Agramont Cota, the last governor of the outgoing territory, served as the first governor of Baja California Sur from the state's creation in October 1974 until April 1975. Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío
Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío (born 14 June 1955) is a Mexican politician currently affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement. He is the governor of Baja California Sur. Life Castro became a teacher and member of the SNTE teachers' union at 19, teaching middle school classes in civic education, history, Spanish and philosophy. Castro also affiliated with the Workers' Revolutionary Party, an early left-wing political party; he sat on its Political State Committee between 1980 and 1984 and on its national central committee between 1986 and 1989. By 1999, Castro had changed his party affiliation to the Party of the Democratic Revolution, and when it came into power, Castro left teaching to head up a middle school in Baja California Sur. In 2002, he was named the state secretary of public education, a post he would hold for two years. The Institutional Revolutionary Party ( es, Partido Revolucionario Institucional, ; abbr. PRI) is a political party in Mexico that was founded in 1929 and held uninterrupted power in the country for 71 years, from 1929 to 2000, first as the National Revolutionary Party ( es, Partido Nacional Revolucionario, PNR), then as the Party of the Mexican Revolution ( es, Partido de la Revolución Mexicana, PRM) and finally as the PRI beginning in 1946. Francisco José Múgica
Francisco José Múgica Velázquez (3 September 1884 – 12 April 1954) was a Mexican military revolutionary, major general and politician. He participated in the Constituent Congress of 1917 that produced the Constitution of Mexico. Notable for being a radical ideologue, he served governor of the states of Tabasco and Michoacán as well as the then- Territory of Baja California Sur and Islas Marías. Múgica was the ideological mentor to Lázaro Cárdenas after the military phase of the Revolution and served as member of Cárdenas's cabinet when he was president (1934–40), heading the secretariats of National Economy and Communications and Public Works.
