Aceh
Aceh ( ), officially the Aceh Province ( ace, Nanggroë Acèh; id, Provinsi Aceh) is the westernmost province of Indonesia. It is located on the northernmost of Sumatra island, with Banda Aceh being its capital and largest city. Granted a special autonomous status, Aceh is a religiously conservative territory and the only Indonesian province practicing the Sharia law officially. There are ten indigenous ethnic groups in this region, the largest being the Acehnese people, accounting for approximately 80% to 90% of the region's population. Aceh is where the spread of Islam in Indonesia began, and was a key factor of the spread of Islam in Southeast Asia. Islam reached Aceh (Kingdoms of Fansur and Lamuri) around 1250 AD. Ibrahim Hassan
Ibrahim Hassan Hussein ( ar, إبراهيم حسن حسين; born 10 August 1966) is an Egyptian former professional football player who played as a right back. Ibrahim Hassan has well over 100 caps for Egypt. His twin brother Hossam also played professional football, and they shared clubs for most of their extensive careers. Club career Born in Cairo, Hassan played professionally for almost twenty years, in a career in which he shared teams with his sibling Hossam for its vast majority. Zaini Abdullah
Zaini Abdullah (born 24 April 1940) is an Indonesian politician and former separatist activist of the Free Aceh Movement (or GAM, ''Gerakan Aceh Merdeka'') in Indonesia who was elected as the governor of the province of Aceh in the 2012 election for a five-year period from 2012 to 2017. Elected with 56% of the vote, Zaini Abdullah is the second governor directly chosen by the electors of Aceh since the granting of restricted autonomy to the area by the Indonesian government in 2005. His predecessor Irwandi Yusuf, who was elected in 2006 for the period from 2007 to 2012, was the first governor chosen in the province by direct elections. Irwandi Yusuf
Irwandi Yusuf (ايرواندي يوسف; born 2 August 1960) is an Indonesian politician who was the Governor of Aceh. He was re-elected Governor in early 2017 after serving an earlier term between 2006 and 2012. Irwandi first won a term as governor in the 2006 Aceh regional election as an independent candidate (non-party). Muhammad Nazar, S. Ag. was his running mate in 2006. However Irwandi lost his 2012 re-election campaign to Zaini Abdullah following a strong challenge and intensive campaigning by other local political rivals. Allegations that he may have wrongfully granted land concessions involving previously protected high conservation value land to palm oil companies also surfaced before the campaign. Mustafa Abubakar
Mustafa Abubakar (born 15 October 1949) is an Indonesian politician and formerly governor of the province of Aceh. Mustafa was appointed as the State Minister for State Enterprises in the Second United Indonesia Cabinet, which was announced on 21 October 2009 following the re-election of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Mustafa was brought into the cabinet after reforming the Indonesian Bureau of Logistics (Bulog), whose previous Chairman, Widjanarko Puspoyo, had been involved in a corruption scandal. Mustafa Abubakar spent his childhood in Meureudu, the capital of the Pidie Jaya Regency in Aceh. Hajji Azwar Abubakar (born 21 June 1952 in Banda Aceh) is the former Administrative Reform Minister of Indonesia. Biography Abubakar was born in Banda Aceh, Indonesia on 21 June 1952. He received a bachelor's degree in architecture from the Bandung Institute of Technology, later receiving a master's degree in management from Syiah Kuala University in Aceh. After graduation, he began working as a consultant and entrepreneur. After the resignation of President Suharto in 1998, he became active in politics, co-founding the Aceh branch of the National Mandate Party. From 2000 to 2004, Abubakar served as the deputy governor of Aceh, later becoming the acting governor from 2004 to 2005 after Governor Abdullah Puteh was convicted of corruption.
