Government Lawngtlai College
Government Lawngtlai College is the only institute of higher education in Lawngtlai district of Mizoram, northeast India. It was established by public demand in 1980 in Lawngtlai. It became a government college under the Government of Mizoram in 1988. The college is a branch member of the Mizoram College Teachers' Association, and the Red Ribbon Club of the Mizoram State AIDS Control Society. History Government Lawngtlai College was established by the people of Lai Autonomous District Council in 1980. It was upgraded to deficit status on 1 July 1988. It was originally affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University, but the jurisdiction was transferred to Mizoram University, when the university was established in 2001. The Government of Mizoram also known as the State Government of Mizoram, or locally as State Government, is the supreme governing authority of the Indian state of Mizoram and its 11 districts. National Highway (India)
The National highways in India are a network of trunk roads owned by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. National highways have flyover access or some controlled-access, where entrance and exit is through the side of the flyover, at each intersection of highways flyovers are provided to bypass the city/town/village traffic and these highways are designed for speed of 100 km/hr. Aizawl
Aizawl (; Mizo: ) is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) is a Central University established on 19 July 1973 by an Act of the Indian Parliament. The university is in the suburb of Shillong, the state capital of Meghalaya, India. The university has two campuses: Shillong and Tura both are in Meghalaya. Lai Autonomous District Council
The Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) is one of the three Autonomous District Councils in Mizoram state in north-east India. It covers the Lawngtlai and Sangau subdivisions of the Lawngtlai district. It is an autonomous district council for the Lai people living in south-eastern Mizoram. The LADC's headquarters are in Lawngtlai town, which is the district capital of the Lawngtlai district. History In 1954 the Central and Assam governments established a regional council, the Pawi Lakher Regional Council (PLRC), for the Lakher ( Mara), Pawi (a.k.a. Lai), and Chakma peoples. The Mizoram College Teachers' Association (MCTA) is a governmental, non-political and non-profit organisation for college teachers under the Government of Mizoram, India. It was established by a conference of college teachers on 7 September 1979 at Aizawl, which became its headquarters. The organisation is recognised by the Government of Mizoram, and consists of 21 government colleges and 1 grant-in-aid college. Lawngtlai is the district headquarters of Lawngtlai district in the state of Mizoram in India. It is also the headquarters of Lai Autonomous District Council, one of the three autonomous district councils in Mizoram (the other two being Mara Autonomous District Council and Chakma Autonomous District Council). Lawngtlai District
Lawngtlai district is one of the eleven districts of Mizoram state in India. The district is bounded on the north by Lunglei district, on the west by Bangladesh, on the south by Myanmar and on the east by Saiha district. The district occupies an area of 2557.10 km2. Lawngtlai town is the administrative headquarters of the district. The district shares its boundaries with Lunglei and Saiha districts on the north and south respectively.
