Alfred Goulet (June 5, 1875 – March 17, 1961) was a Canadian businessman and political figure in Ontario. He represented Russell in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1922 to 1923 and Russell in the House of Commons of Canada from 1925 to 1945 as a Liberal member. He was born in Wendover, Ontario in 1875, the son of Godfrey Goulet and Maximilienne Boyer, and studied at the University of Ottawa The University of Ottawa (french: Université d'Ottawa), often referred to as uOttawa or U of O, is a bilingual public research university in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Le Goulet is a formerly incorporated village in Gloucester County, New Brunswick, Canada. Located several kilometres east-southeast of downtown Shippagan, it sits on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. History The village was originally called New Jerusalem Settlement when it was initially settled in 1879. Le Goulet was incorporated in 1986. On 1 January 2023, Le Goulet amalgamated with the town of Shippagan and all or part of seven local service districts to form the new town of Shippagan. The community's name remains in official use.
