Gosnells Railway Station
Gosnells station is a railway station on the South Western Railway 21 kilometres from Perth Station in the suburb of Gosnells. It is served by Armadale Line services which are part of the Transperth network. History The original Gosnells station opened in 1905. On 17 April 2005 a new station opened 300 metres further north as part of a improvement program to rejuvenate the town centre and create a new retail main street running in an east-west direction across the train line. The station was built under the Gallop government's Building Better Train Stations program. Gosnells, Western Australia
Gosnells is a suburb located within the City of Gosnells. Gosnells is approximately south-east of the Perth central business district. It contains the Gosnells town centre which includes the Council offices, library and the Gosnells Railway Station. History The area where Gosnells is located was used by the Nyoongar Aboriginal people for thousands of years before European settlement. In 1829, when the European settlers arrived in Western Australia, farms were established along the Swan and Canning Rivers, significantly changing the landscape and terrain of Gosnells. Thornlie Station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is the terminus of the Thornlie spur of the Armadale Line, from Perth Station serving the suburb of Thornlie, Western Australia. Under construction is the Thornlie-Cockburn Link which will link to Cockburn Central railway station along the Mandurah line via two new stations, Nicholson Road railway station and Ranford Road railway station. Albany Highway
Albany Highway links Western Australia's capital city Perth with its oldest settlement, Albany, on the state's south coast. The highway travels through the southern Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions, and is designated State Route 30 for most of its length. It is located at the juncture of the Mandurah andonce completed Thornlie lines, from Perth station inside the median strip of the Kwinana Freeway serving the suburb of Cockburn Central. History During planning, the station was known as Thomsons Lake station. Cockburn Central railway station was designed to subsume the nearby Success Park 'n' Ride bus station. Armadale Station is a railway station on the South Western Railway, 30 kilometres from Perth station serving the suburb of Armadale, Brookdale and Haynes. Perth Station
Perth Station was an ESTRACK Earth station in Australia, located at the Perth International Telecommunications Centre in the suburb of Cullacabardee. It has been retired from service in December, 2015 and has been replaced by the New Norcia Station. The site has hosted a 15-metre diameter antenna that transmitted in S-band and received in both S- and X-bands. There were plans to upgrade to X-band transmission in 2004. There was also a GPS Tracking and Data Facility. The site had its own no-break power plant.
