Gorm Field
''Gorm'' is a natural gas and oilfield in the Danish Sector of North Sea that was discovered in 1971. It is the largest oilfield exploited by Denmark. The field consists of five platforms and is operated by TotalEnergies. The facilities include two wellhead platforms and several processing platforms. About of crude oil from the nearby ''Rolf'' oil field are processed on the ''Gorm'' platforms. The installations developed for the Gorm field were: An oil leak occurred in the field on 2 March 2011. Wellhead
A wellhead is the component at the surface of an oil or gas well that provides the structural and pressure-containing interface for the drilling and production equipment. The primary purpose of a wellhead is to provide the suspension point and pressure seals for the casing strings that run from the bottom of the hole sections to the surface pressure control equipment. While drilling the oil well, surface pressure control is provided by a blowout preventer (BOP). If the pressure is not contained during drilling operations by the column of drilling fluid, casings, wellhead, and BOP, a well blowout could occur. When the well has been drilled, it is completed to provide an interface with the reservoir rock and a tubular conduit for the well fluids. Dan Oil Field
The Dan oil field is a large oil and associated gas field in the Danish sector of the North Sea, about west of Esbjerg. Oil and gas are produced through a complex of offshore installations. The ''Kraka'' and ''Regnar'' fields are satellites to the Dan installations. The field The Dan field was discovered in May 1971 by the ''Britannia'' oil rig in Denmark Block 7.3 of the North Sea. The reservoir is an Upper Cretaceous Danian chalk at a depth of 5,800 to 6,400 feet (1,768 to 1,951 metres). Tyra Field
Tyra Field is the largest gas condensate field in the Danish Sector of the North Sea. It was discovered in 1968 and production started in 1984. The field is owned by Dansk Undergrunds Consortium, a partnership between Total, Noreco and Nordsofonden, and operated by Total. A petroleum reservoir or oil and gas reservoir is a subsurface accumulation of hydrocarbons contained in porous or fractured rock formations. Such reservoirs form when kerogen (ancient plant matter) is created in surrounding rock by the presence of high heat and pressure in the Earth's crust.
