Resen ( mk, Ресен ) is a town in southwestern North Macedonia, with just under 9,000 inhabitants. Resen is approximately equidistant between Bitola and Ohrid. GRK Ohrid ( mk, ГРК Охрид) is a handball club from Ohrid, North Macedonia. They compete in the domestic Macedonian Handball Super League. History GRK Ohrid was founded in 2011 in Ohrid. RK Metalurg Skopje ( mk, РК Металург Скопје) is a Macedonian handball club based in Skopje. They compete in the domestic Macedonian Handball Super League and EHF European League. History The club was founded in 1971 under patronage of the Skopje steel industry. There, an idea was born to form a team composed of employees that worked in the nearby steel mill. Nikola Bogdanovski accepted the idea after it was reviewed by the board of directors. Thus, RK Metalurg was created. The same concept realized by Bogdanovski continues to live today. At the time, the club didn't even think of playing in any of the European competitions, because they played their best not to be relegated from the first league. RK Eurofarm Pelister (HC Eurofarm Pelister) ( mk, РК Еурофарм Пелистер) is a handball club from Bitola, Macedonia. They currently compete in the Macedonian Handball Super League and EHF European League. History The original team was the first handball club in Macedonia, formed in 1946 under the name Pelagonija. It later changed its name to Pelister in 1955. The 60s were very successful, winning 4 championships starting in 1960 till the last one in 1969.
