Good Sunday
''Good Sunday'' ( ko, 일요일이 좋다) is a South Korean reality-variety show shown on the SBS network, which competes directly against MBC's '' Sunday Night'' and KBS2's ''Happy Sunday'' line-up. The program has suffered from the competition of ''Happy Sunday'' and ''Sunday Night'' but reached its way to #1 on the Top 20 Charts every Sunday. ''Good Sunday'' consists of a line-up of "corner programs", or segments, which air within the program. The program ended on March 19, 2017, opting for individual programs divided into two parts for inserting commercials (which is not allowed for programs on terrestrial television). History Prior to ''Good Sunday'', ''Ultra Sunday Hurray!'' (초특급 일요일만세) began airing on March 18, 2001. Beginning on January 20, 2002 ''Show! Sunday World'' (쇼!일요천하) aired, and on July 14, 2002 ''Beautiful Sunday'' (뷰티풀 선데이) aired until March 28, 2004, where ''Good Sunday'' began to air its new, popular programming. As ...

Reality Television
Reality television is a genre of television programming that documents purportedly unscripted real-life situations, often starring unfamiliar people rather than professional actors. Reality television emerged as a distinct genre in the early 1990s with shows such as '' The Real World'', then achieved prominence in the early 2000s with the success of the series '' Survivor'', '' Idols'', and '' Big Brother'', all of which became global franchises. Reality television shows tend to be interspersed with "confessionals", short interview segments in which cast members reflect on or provide context for the events being depicted on-screen; this is most commonly seen in American reality television. Competition-based reality shows typically feature gradual elimination of participants, either by a panel of judges, by the viewership of the show, or by the contestants themselves. Documentaries, television news, sports television, talk shows, and traditional game shows are generally not ...

Korea Standard Time
South Korea has one time zone, Korea Standard Time ( UTC+09:00), which is abbreviated KST. South Korea currently does not observe daylight saving time, but experimented with it during the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. History In 1434, inventor Jang Yeong-sil developed Korea's first automatic water clock, which King Sejong adapted as Korea's standard timekeeper. It is likely that Koreans used water clocks to keep time prior to this invention, but no concrete records of them exist. In 1437, Jang Yeong-sil, with Jeong Cho, created a bowl-shaped sundial called the ''angbu ilgu'' (Hangul: 앙부일구), which King Sejong had placed in public so anyone could use it. Geographically, the western parts of Korea, including the South Korean capital city, Seoul, are UTC+08:00. In 1908, the Korean Empire adopted a standard time that was hours ahead of GMT, UTC+08:30. In 1912, during the Japanese occupation of Korea, the Governor-General of Korea changed standard time to UTC+09: ...

Game Show
A game show is a genre of broadcast viewing entertainment (radio, television, internet, stage or other) where contestants compete for a reward. These programs can either be participatory or demonstrative and are typically directed by a host, sharing the rules of the program as well as commentating and narrating where necessary. The history of game shows dates back to the invention of television as a medium. On most game shows, contestants either have to answer questions or solve puzzles, typically to win either money or prizes. Game shows often reward players with prizes such as cash, trips and goods and services provided by the show's sponsor. History 1930s–1950s Game shows began to appear on radio and television in the late 1930s. The first television game show, '' Spelling Bee'', as well as the first radio game show, ''Information Please'', were both broadcast in 1938; the first major success in the game show genre was '' Dr. I.Q.'', a radio quiz show that began in 1939 ...
