''Golden Best'' is the double-CD compilation album by Japanese singer-songwriter Yōsui Inoue. The album was released in July 1999, celebrating his 30-year career as a solo recording artist. It comprises 35 tracks spanning his works after 1972; the year he released his debut album '' Danzetsu'' under the renewed stage name. ''Golden Best'' debuted at the number-six on the Japanese Oricon chart and climbed the top in September 1999. It became one of the most successful albums for Inoue, entering the record chart for a year with sales of over 1.4 million copies. Yōsui Inoue
is a Japanese singer, lyricist, composer, guitarist and record producer, who is an important figure in Japanese music. "Hailed as the Bob Dylan of Japan .. He is renowned for his unique tone, eccentric lyrics, and dark sunglasses which he always wears. Under the stage name Andre Candre, Inoue debuted in 1969 and released a single "Candre Mandre" by CBS Sony Records. After he changed his stage name and signed onto Polydor, he recorded his first studio album '' Danzetsu'' in 1971, and the album was acclaimed by critics. Kazari Ja Nai No Yo Namida Wa
is the 10th single by Japanese entertainer Akina Nakamori. Written by Yōsui Inoue, the single was released on November 14, 1984, by Warner Pioneer through the Reprise label. It was also the lead single from her seventh studio album '' Bitter and Sweet''. Background Producer Yūzō Shimada was initially not impressed with the song when he listened to the demo version, but he changed his mind and approved it as a single when songwriter Inoue performed it with Nakamori in a live studio recording. Inoue recorded "Kazari ja Nai no yo Namida wa" on his 1984 self-cover album '' 9.5 Carats''. Nakamori has re-recorded the song for the 1995 compilation ''True Album Akina 95 Best'' and the 2002 self-cover compilation '' Utahime Double Decade''. Koichi Sugiyama
was a Japanese composer, conductor, and orchestrator. He was best known for composing the music for the '' Dragon Quest'' franchise, along with several other video games, anime, film, and television shows. Classically trained, Sugiyama was considered a major inspiration for other Japanese game music composers and was active from the 1960s until his death from septic shock in 2021. Sugiyama was also a council member of the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers, and Publishers (JASRAC), board member of the Japan Institute for National Fundamentals, and honorary chairman of the Japanese Backgammon Society. is a song by Japanese singer Sachiko Nishida, released as the double A-side of her second single "Yokubō no Blues" by Polydor Records in August 1961. It is a Japanese-language cover of the Venezuelan song "Moliendo Café". Background and release Originally written by José Manzo Perroni, "Moliendo Café" was first adapted in Japanese by Seiji Nakazawa and recorded by Sachiko Nishida in 1961. Kiyoshiro Imawano
, born , was a Japanese rock musician, lyricist, composer, musical producer, and actor from Tokyo, Japan. He was dubbed "Japan's King of Rock". Kōji Tamaki
is a Japanese singer-songwriter and actor. He has been well known as frontman of the rock band Anzen Chitai that debuted in 1982 and enjoyed a successful career, particularly during the 1980s.
