God Of Gamblers II
''God of Gamblers II'' () is a 1990 Hong Kong action comedy film written and directed by Wong Jing. It stars Andy Lau as the Knight of Gamblers, Stephen Chow as the Saint of Gamblers, and Ng Man-tat as Blackie Tat. This film is a sequel to both ''God of Gamblers'', which included Lau's character, and to ''All for the Winner'', which starred Chow and Ng. This film should not be confused with ''God of Gamblers Returns'', also released as ''God of Gamblers 2'', and in essence the true sequel to the original ''God of Gamblers''. In this film, down on his luck Sing (Chow) seeks out the God of Gamblers in hopes of becoming his disciple. Wong Jing
Wong Jing ( born 3 May 1955) is a Hong Kong film director, producer, actor, presenter, and screenwriter. A prolific filmmaker with strong instincts for crowd-pleasing and publicity, Wong Jing played a prominent role in Hong Kong cinema during the 1990s. Biography Wong was born in Hong Kong, the son of noted film director Wong Tin-Lam. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Chinese literature which he describes as "useless" (Yang, 2003). Like many Hong Kong film figures of his time, Wong began his career in television – in his case, scriptwriting for local juggernaut TVB beginning in 1975 (Teo, 1997). Gong Li
Gong Li (Chinese: 巩俐; born 31 December 1965) is a Chinese actress. She starred in three of the four Chinese-language films that were nominated for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film. Gong was born in Shenyang, Liaoning, and grew up in Jinan, Shandong. She enrolled at the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, from where she graduated in 1989. ''God of Gamblers III: Back to Shanghai'' (; lit. ''Knight of Gamblers II: Shanghai Beach's Saint of Gamblers'') is a 1991 Hong Kong comedy film, a sequel to ''God of Gamblers II'' (1990). Shing Fui-On (成奎安; 1 February 1955 – 27 August 2009) was a Hong Kong actor, best known for his supporting roles in Hong Kong cinema. He had only one leading role in his entire career. Biography Shing Fui-On was the fourth of five siblings in a Hakka family. Due to family poverty, Shing had to drop out of school at the age of 13. At the age of 15, he worked as an extra at Shaw Brothers, and later moved to Golden Harvest before working at a dance hall. Shing Fui-On was an original resident of Sai Kung's Nam Wai Village. Blackie Ko () (February 22, 1953 – December 9, 2003) was a Taiwanese film director, producer, stuntman, singer and actor. Blackie was considered to be the greatest automotive stunt choreographer in Asia. Personal life In 1956, his family moved to Taiwan during Battle of Dachen Archipelago. He married Sung Lai Wah and they have a son named Alan Ko, a daughter named Jennifer Ko, and another son named Jacky Ko. In 1997, Ko drove a car over the Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River in Shaanxi Province to celebrate the handover of Hong Kong. Death On December 9, 2003, Ko died of blood poisoning in Shanghai.
