Gnima Faye
Gnima Faye (born 17 November 1984) is a Senegalese track and field athlete who competes in the 100 metres hurdles. She was the 2012 African champion in the event and has a personal best of 13.17 seconds. She competed in the 200 metres at the 2001 World Youth Championships in Athletics, then switched to the hurdles for the 2002 World Junior Championships in Athletics. At the age of seventeen she placed fifth in the 100 m hurdles at the 2002 African Championships in Athletics. She ran a personal best of 13.59 seconds to win at the 2003 African Junior Athletics Championships and also placed second in the 400 metres hurdles as well as helping Senegal to third in the 4×100 metres relay. Faye entered the 2004 African Championships but was disqualified. 2010 IAAF Continental Cup
The 1st IAAF Continental Cup was an international track and field sporting event held under the auspices of the International Association of Athletics Federations. Originally scheduled as the 11th IAAF World Cup in Athletics, it was renamed in 2008 when the IAAF revamped the competition format. It was held in Split, Croatia on 4–5 September 2010. The competition mascot was an anthropomorphic white seagull with a blue hat and scarf, named Marino. Designed by children from the Juraj Bonači educational centre, the mascot builds on the fact that Split is a coastal city. The attendance for the second day of the competition was about 25,000. Gabriel Tiacoh
Gabriel Tiacoh (February 9, 1963 – April 2, 1992) was a sprinter from Côte d'Ivoire who specialised in the 400 metres. He is best known for winning his nation's first Olympic medal, in the 400 meters in 1984. A former African record holder, he was the African champion over the distance in 1984 and 1989, as well as being the silver medallist in 1985 and 1988. He competed at the World Championships in Athletics in 1983 and 1987, finishing seventh in the 400 m final at the latter edition. He represented Côte d'Ivoire at the Olympics for a second time at the 1988 Seoul Games, but did not make the final. He died of tuberculous meningitis in 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 29, survived by his only daughter Alexis Tiacoh. He had a personal best of 44.30 seconds for the 400 m. Moriam Seun Adigun (born 3 January 1987, Chicago, Illinois) is a Nigerian–American bobsledder, and track and field runner who specializes in the 100 metres hurdles. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics, but did not qualify from her heat. In 2016, Seun Adigun founded the Nigerian bobsled team.
